Isaiah 58:10

...If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.

More Eve

Thank you so much for your prayers, encouragement, and donations on behalf of Eve! We have seen God fling open doors before us and create some unexpected but very profound contacts both in the States and beyond. Let me catch you up a bit.

Eve remains the same, but our options for her care continue to unfold. Right now it seems as though we will be able to help provide for her short-term needs right in Liberia--a huge blessing since traveling with a sick five-year-old is hardly ideal. Hopefully Eve will have an appointment with the surgeon this week, after which we will have a better understanding of what exactly her needs are and whether or not she will require surgery. Many, many things had to fall into place for this to happen, and we feel like God made the impossible happen. Especially since the contacts that made this potential care plan possible were brought about by our blog and Facebook posts! I guess the Internet is good for something after all. ;-)

For now, please continue to keep Eve in your prayers. She is still a very, very sick little girl. And while we're happy to have taken a few steps in the right direction, we (and Eve) have a very long way to go. We will keep you updated as things progress.

Thank you for praying!

Peace,
Nicole
