The team has arrived!
It's Julie Bajema, from the Board of One Body One Hope, sending you all an update on our team in Liberia.
Nick and Aaron left this past Tuesday and arrived safely on Wednesday. Aaron has been giving a pastor's conference. The Liberian pastors do not have ready access to furthering their education. Pastors there walked hundreds of miles to gain more knowledge about our wonderful God! Nick has been working hard to get the shipping container out of port. It is still being held up. The container contains all of the trusses, steal, windows, doors, bunk beds, desks, benches, book shelves, electrical supplies, clothes, ect. As of now, it is still in port. Please pray, pray, pray that it gets released and on site tomorrow!!
The rest of the team left yesterday and arrived in Monrovia a couple of hours ago, being greeted by Nick, Aaron, Immanuel (who runs the orphanage) and about 1/3 of the kids singing to them! What a great way to lift their spirits after the long flight!!
Once again I am going to ask for prayers to soften the hearts of the gentleman at the port who needs to release the container. The children of the orphanage have even began to fast and pray continually for its release! Please let the faith of those children inspire you to get on your knees for the release of the container. There is a lot of work to be done there. They will be hard pressed to get it all done if it does not get on site tomorrow.
We have been focusing on the container getting to the site, but also pray for relationships to be built. God calls us to help his orphans and to show them His love! Pray that the children there will feel extra loved this week!
Thank you for your support!
Julie
And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. ~ Isaiah 58:10
