Isaiah 58:10

...If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.

Prayers for Liberia

A letter from one of our board members:

Hello everybody. This is Julie Bajema. I am a board member for One Body One Hope, a non-profit organization that helps support Christ is Our Hope Orphanage in Monrovia, Liberia. You are getting this email because you have supported this adventure with gifts and prayer or somebody you know is going to be leaving soon to do some work on the orphanage and school in Liberia.

Tomorrow (Tuesday), two team members are leaving to get things set up (Aaron Baart and Nick Doelman).  The rest of the team is leaving on Saturday. (Tim Bajema, Brent DeJong, Scott Postma, Troy Ten Napel, Brian VanDerVliet, Grant & Desarae DeVries, Ken VanOort, Stan & Arlis DeWeerd, Mary DeGroot, and Randy Swier.)

We are asking for prayers for three things at this point 1) The shipping container is in port, but not yet at the orphanage site. Please pray that this transition goes smoothly. 2) Please pray that everybody is safe and stays healthy. 3) God will work in amazing ways in the hearts of those going on the trip and those living and working at the orphanage. Pray for those relationship to grow strong.

I will be sending you updates as the team arrives and during their time there. Please feel free to share these updates. Prayer is coveted.

Thank you for your support!
Julie Bajema
