Isaiah 58:10

...If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.

Pray for Eve!

Good morning, everyone.

Although we hope that you remember our friends in Liberia in your prayers regularly, today we have a very specific prayer request. Yesterday we received word that one of the little girls in the orphanage is very sick. According to Emmanuel she has sores in her throat and stomach that are causing her pain and keeping her from eating or drinking. He took her to the clinic and they gave her an injection and some medication. She is not eating yet, but she has started to drink some.

Eve is one of the "littles" at the orphanage, a quiet sweetheart who has battled chronic illness since the time she came into Emmanuel and Fatu's custody. We're not entirely sure what is wrong with her, partly because medical care is so limited in Liberia, and partly because we don't have the full story about what happened to her before she came to the orphanage. Whatever the cause, we ask that you join us in fervent prayer that Eve will be restored to health!

Please keep all the children, their caretakers, and the people of Liberia in your prayers as they endure the tail end of the rainy season. Many of our friends have fallen sick in the last several months and weeks and could really use our prayers.

Peace,
Nicole
